An Introduction to Laboratory - Field
Equipment Maintenance and Calibration.
This informative seminar will cover maintenance and calibration of laboratory - fi eld equipment, including
a Gyratory Compactor Maintenance calibration session. The gyratory portion of the seminar will cover the
basic maintenance and repair for the Troxler Compactors including the use of the “TMA”. Other items to be
discussed will include basic scale maintenance, ignition ovens, sieve shakers, and more.

Cindy Rutkoski Joins the RMAEC Staff.

Cindy began her position in January 2008. She will be responsible for the instruction of the LabCAT certifications for levels A, B, C ,E, S and I and many of the RMAEC programs. She will be making sure the programs are up to date with the most current CDOT specifications.
Cindy’s experience includes 12 years with CDOT as a materials technician and working in a region volumetric's labs. She has spent the last 8 years working for consultants as an materials supervisor, overseeing field materials technicians and managing the laboratories.
Cindy has enjoyed working in the construction industry for the past 28 years and is looking forward to being involved with the LabCAT certification and RMAEC education programs.
"An introduction to the High Speed Profiler", This half day seminar is being presented by The Rocky Mountain Asphalt Education Center in association with RoadTrac, Inc. You are invited to attend this informative seminar. The RMAEC will present information on the High Speed Profiling equipment. Low Speed equipment will also be discussed. Items to be discussed will include: Profiler operational checks and procedures, data analysis software, importing reports to Excel,using ProVAL, and understanding the data which was collected. Lunch will be provided. Pre-registration is required. Please complete the registration form and return it to the RMAEC.

"HMA Maintenance and Repair" This one day seminar is being presented by The Rocky Mountain Asphalt Education Center in association with many of our industry partners. You are invited to attend this informative seminar. With through winter behind us and repairs are continuing in our streets, parking lots and paths, the RMAEC will present information on the best practices for repair, as well as short and long term maintenance of HMA Pavements. The one day course will focus on the preventative maintenance and repair of HMA in streets,parking lots,and paths. The course includes classroom instruction and weather permitting outside demonstrations of repair and maintenance techniques.
Topics to be discussed will include: Crack sealing · Pothole patching · Infrared repair · Street print · Seal coating · Striping. The course is intended for local agencies, including maintenance crew members, CDOT maintenance crews and supervisory personnel, consultants, contractors, property management and maintenance firms, as well as property owners.
